Oshkosh When: July 4, all day, as part of Sawdust Days 2008. Where: Downtown Oshkosh and Menominee Park. What: Parade at 9 a.m. down Main Street to Irving Avenue, ending at Menominee Parks; Sawdust Days following the parade and features rides, food, and entertainment in Menominee Park; Festival Foods Fireworks at 9:45 p.m. How much: Free. Fisk When: July 3, dusk Where: Downtown Fisk What: Annual fireworks display. The event draws between 20,000 and 25,000 people per year. Refreshments served by the Ripon Lions Club.
Omro When: July 4, all day. Where: Downtown Omro. What: Parade at noon down Main Street; live music at the Omro Fire Department, 502 W Huron St., from 1-9 p.m.; Quacker 500 at 4 p.m.; Omro Community Band patriotic concert at 1:30 p.m.; crafts show from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; fireworks postponed to later date due to flood. Green Lake When: July 4, all day. Where: American Legion- Willis Chapel Post #306, 518 Water St., Playground and Deacon Mills parks and downtown Green Lake. What: Pancake breakfast at 7:30 a.m. at the American Legion Hall; Petting Zoo, pony rides, games, food and beverages, duck races, face painting, farmers market, live music starting at 2 p.m. at the parks; hometown parade through Green Lake at 5 p.m.; fireworks at dusk over Dartford Bay on Big Green Lake. Princeton When: July 5, all day. Where: Downtown Princeton and the City Park on South Fulton Street. What: Flea market starts 6 a.m. at the City Park; Parade starts at 5 p.m. in downtown Princeton, weather permitting; Festival in the Park featuring food, live music, dunk tank, family entertainment, and a beer garden following parade; fireworks at dusk. Markesan What: Independence Day Celebration sponsored by the Markesan Lions Club When: June 28, from noon to midnight, and June 29, starting 11 a.m. Where: Soldiers and Sailors Park, on the south side of Little Green Lake. What: Saturday’s events include food stand, beverage tent, kids and adult games, live music and children’s fishing tournament; entertainment on Saturday night is by Shaken not Stirred; fireworks at dusk on Saturday; Sunday’s events include a chicken barbecue and live music by Ruff N’ Ron Polka Band.
